Air Duct Cleaning
Air duct cleaning can be a crucial step in mold remediation. If you have mold in your home or in your crawl space, it can get into your air ducts and spread mold spores throughout the rest of your home. As the final step during our mold remediation, we clean your HVAC and the duct work, removing mold spores, pet hair, dust, dirt, grime, and more. Not only is this an important step in mold remediation, but it's a good step in improving the overall quality of air in your home.
The first step in our air duct cleaning process is setting up our commercial size “air scrubber” in your home. The air scrubber will be running the entire time we clean your air ducts and it will catch any mold spores, as well as filter out the air in your home, hundreds and hundreds of times, leaving you with fresh, clean air.
We use professional air duct cleaning equipment and clean all return and supply ducts, registers, and grilles, throughout the home. A certified HVAC technician will also clean out the air handler, as well as remove the blower and clean it thoroughly, using a HEPA vacuum and removing as much dirt, dust/mold spores and grime as possible. This includes preventative maintenance by the HVAC tech. The preventative maintenance includes checking the freon levels and cleaning the A-coils. This cleaning of the furnace itself is essential and must be done as part of the duct cleaning.
When we're done cleaning all necessary components, we replace the air filters with new high efficiency air filters. These filters remove allergens and contaminants such as dust, lint, debris, pet dander, bacteria, most smoke, and most importantly in our industry, mold spores. Our final step in the duct cleaning process is fogging the ducts with our EPA registered, hospital grade, mold killer.
When we are done cleaning your air ducts, you can rest assured that your air flow and air quality will be the best it has been in years. You and your family can breathe easy knowing that they are no longer breathing any contaminants.
